Judy Pryor-Ramirez joined The New School University as the Director of Civic Engagement and Social Justice at Eugene Lang College in December 2010 where she is responsible for implementing initiatives that promote community-engaged scholarship and teaching among faculty and students while involving and benefiting communities. Overall, she provides leadership and management for the College’s civic engagement activities as well as strategic direction for the College that is also aligned with The New School University’s social justice priorities.

Previously, she was a program director for civic engagement at the University of Richmond for two and half years. Prior to Richmond, Mejia worked in New York City for five years in program administration at Lehman College and Teachers College, Columbia University, and also in research and policy capacities at New York City Council Education Committee and New York State Education Department respectively.
